This picture was taken January 2020 when I first began teaching public yoga classes in Paris. I was on my way to a class and was so excited that I asked my friend to take a picture of me. After months of teaching at this studio and not getting paid, COVID hit and it became clear that I will probably never get paid for the 30+ classes I taught.

As a yoga teacher, you must set limits and boundaries, or people will take advantage of you. The most beneficial thing I did as a yoga teacher was surround myself with a community of other yoga teachers. If you are lacking that community then please feel free to reach out 😊

I have personally moved away from having yoga be my sole source of income. Rather, I am working as a full time lawyer (what I went to school for) and teaching yoga part time. Yoga is still my passion and I will keep sharing it. However, I am going to be much more independent and do it on my own terms.

Have you visited Zurich?

I went to Zurich for a weekend to catch up with & We hadn’t seen each other in years and it was magical
✨✨
In one weekend we were able to hike a mountain, visit downtown Zurich, swim in a lake, relax by the river and go to a spa... It’s obviously not a great time to travel, but i highly recommend adding Zurich to your bucket list (for the near future, I hope!).

Also... I moved to Chicago this week 😊 Im moving into my new apartment on Friday and I’m super excited!!

Over the past few months I’ve taken 1 flexibility class a week and it has felt amazing! It’s been interesting to look at poses I’ve practiced in yoga but from a flexibility standpoint. I’ve learned about the importance of stretching the neck for back bends. At first it was so scary to open up through the neck area, but recently it’s become quite comfortable 😊
