Yoga with Gopi Om "Reduce your wants and lead a happy and contented life. Never hurt the feelings of others and be kin

Nicole first discovered yoga by chance and was instantly intrigued. She attended her first teacher training with the sole intention of learning more about the practice, but discovered that she loved the teachings of yoga too much to keep them to herself and began teaching in 2005. Shortly after, her practice grew immensely due to the discovery and subsequent influence of her beloved teacher, Sri D

harma Mittra. Nicole has completed her advanced level (500 hour) teacher training in New York with Sri Dharma and feels blessed to have received and to pass on his teachings. She strives to live every moment as an offering to the divine and to pass on the teachings of yoga as they have been generously passed on to her. A believer in the power of yoga as a lifestyle, Nicole feels that a playful yoga practice enables a person to approach the more mundane aspects of life with a lighter heart and a more accepting attitude. Her yogic journey has played a big role in her life and she feels lucky to have the opportunity to share that journey with others. Nicole lives with her family of rescued cats and pit bull dogs. She is a fan of the fruit market, pet rescue, The Bhagavad Gita, and vegan cookies.

Dan and I hope to see you at next weekend! It is honestly AMAZING what happens when you dedicate time to someone else. When you commit to being there fully, cooperatively, and supportively and when you accept being supported and prioritized. Partner Yoga can be fun (it’s so fun), but it can also be much more. Bring your friend, partner, date, child, grandchild, relative, or stranger next weekend and give them the gift of your time and attention! I don’t think you’ll regret it. 💖 NO YOGA EXPERIENCE NEEDED! ✨

Thought some Nature Yoga Sanctuary WP people would like to see this plant, which lived near the door for many years, still kicking in our new home. I’m planning to repot them in the spring for a nice fresh start. 🌱

The best New Year’s resolution that I ever made was to stop having so many opinions about things that don’t matter. The world, and social media in particular, leads us to believe that every opinion that we have is relevant, informed, and worth expressing (and defending if challenged). But is that really the truth?

Hope you’re finding some moments of quiet coziness lately. ❤️

Vedanta states that even moksha should not be pursued at the expense of community or society. When help is required, even the yogi needs to be practical and make efforts to support others. If you are focused solely on your own liberation without concern for those people, animals, or nature around you, freedom will remain elusive.

Today marks 13 years since I was initiated into Dharmaji’s spiritual family and given the name Gopi. Whatever karma led me here, I am grateful for it. 💕 (Pic from April 2017 in Chicago)
