When Jaxon and I started working together he had a difficult time coming back, and let it get to his head, and play down with lesser players. In the first month his mom noticed significant impact.

His demeanor and attitude is elevated.
Playing up to his potential.
He’s feeling really confident.

I’m excited to see where Jaxon can go now that he has the mental game tools.

Yesterday, during a session, one of our players told me that he gets upset after one bad shot.

I asked him what’s good and what’s bad?

He said a good shot is if it’s a winner.

A bad shot is if he misses long or into the net.

In tennis 70% of all points end in an error, with those definitions it made it really difficult to perform.

We spent the session redefining what a good shot was, and it was all things that he could control.

Atesh and I started working together 6 months ago and the transformation has been positive.

Going from being nervous to calm and more focused on the court.

And the results have followed, raising his UTR, winning a tournament in Barcelona, and playing more free.

Does your son come off the court and tell you that he lost that match because he was tired.

And he’s been playing for hours and hours in practice.

And when you give him advice he takes it as criticism.

Share this video with him.

Better yet let him talk to me. As parents we know that our teens listen better to coaches.

Saying we were tired is a way our brains lets us of the hook softly.

We don’t have to listen to that voice and we can overcome.

Let me be clear being tired and heatstroke/injury are 2 different things.

Champions find a way and it stays with the mind!

Also, a study…
“Frontiers for Young Minds / Bruton & Wright (2022), “Watch and Learn: Athletes Can Improve by Observing the Actions of Others.” show that when we watch we trigger the same neural pathways that we use during the physical act.

Going to watch a live tennis match whether it’s a college match, a challenger, or a pro event is the tennis hack for improvement that no one talks about.

Watching the women’s ncaa D1 championship and I was reminded to never give up and stay in the match.

Breathing and a reset will help your son or daughter in between points.

Will your teen like mental performance training?
