The financial advice sounds simple: “Stop eating out.”

Then you spend $47 at the grocery store to make one meal and suddenly you’ve got questions.

I still think cooking at home is usually cheaper, especially if you’re feeding a family.

But for one person? I get the argument.

You buy the meat, vegetables, sauce, seasoning, maybe some random ingredient you’ll use once, then half of it sits in the fridge until it starts growing its own ecosystem.

Meanwhile there’s a $12 takeout special down the street and no dishes.

The real savings usually come when you’re planning meals, using leftovers, and actually eating what you bought.

If not, that “cheap” grocery trip can get expensive real fast.

Nothing makes you question reality faster than a dealership trying to sell you something you literally replaced yesterday.

I get that dealerships have overhead. Labor isn’t free. Parts markup is part of the business.

But when I JUST replaced the cabin filter myself for $14 and you’re telling me it’s already filthy and needs to be replaced for $105, now I’m wondering what else on this inspection sheet is completely made up.

That’s the part that kills trust.

Once somebody catches you trying to sell them one thing they clearly don’t need, every recommendation after that starts looking suspicious.
