Results. Creativity. Those are our core values and what we use to guide our decisions. At Chicago School of Grappling (CSG), we are not a gym. Instead, we are a school and our focus is to provide exception instruction to our students so that they can learn new skills or how to sharpen existing ones. Primarily, we teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), but we also have the right teachers for kick-boxing,

circuit fitness, women and kid specific programs. Furthermore, "Chicago" is in our name and we will honor that. We are focused on not only teaching the community, but also giving back to it. By becoming a part of the CSG team, you are enabling us to improve the CSG city. Moreover, we want our students to improve and we want them to see it. We believe in a simple equation: Perseverance + Hard work= Improvement. Our students are not forced to work with tools that do not work for them. Instead, we take the time to develop custom plans for each student and to issue "report cards" showing data on every student's performance so that he/she can literally see their improvement. Lastly, we do things differently. We have a great set of teachers that will not only show you techniques, but they will show you the root explanation and mechanics of those techniques. We do not believe in one style fitting all students, which allows us to work with you to develop your own set of skills and specific game.

But of the entire team. Grappling is an individual sport, but takes an entire team. It was so gratifying to see people who I used to coach, sitting in the chair and coaching the new generation. The cycle repeats and we get better as a team.
