Chicago Area Rugby Football Union Chicago Area Rugby Football Union All local and territorial unions are part of USA Rugby. CARFU represents the teams in and around the Chicagoland area.

The Chicago Area Rugby Football Union (CARFU) is the Local Area Union (LAU) for rugby union teams in the Chicago metropolitan area. CARFU is part of the Midwest Rugby Football Union (MRFU), which is also the governing body for the Allegheny, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin LAU’s. The union works to provide existing CARFU members a competitive and safe environment to play rugby in. The union also works to develop and expand rugby throughout the Chicagoland area.

New year, new goals? Why not make one of those goals becoming a coach or ref!

Next Month at Taft High School (Park Ridge) there will be the following courses being offered:
• New Referees L1 Referee Course - Sunday 2/1
• New Coaches L1 Coaching Course - Sunday 2/1
• Advanced Referees L2 Referee Course - Sat/Sun 1/31-2/1
• Advanced Coaches L2 Coaching Course - Sat/Sun 1/31-2/1

To Register:
1. Log into your Rugby Xplorer account.
2. Go to the Learning Center.
3. Select the course you are interested in.
4. Add to Cart: The 1/31 or 2/1 Chicago Course (Taft High School).
5. Follow purchase instructions.
6. Complete pre-requisite work prior to event.
