On this World Book Day, I’m thinking about legacy.

Shakespeare’s words have lived for over 400 years—passed hand to hand, heart to heart. Entire lifetimes have unfolded between the pages of his work. That’s the power of a book. It outlives us. It carries our voice long after we’re gone.

Books are more than stories.
They are bridges across time.
They are medicine.
They are lifelines.

I know this because one book—Holy Hunger by Margaret Bullitt-Jonas—saved my life.

Let that land.

Saved. My. Life.

And it makes me wonder…

You are not here to write a book that fills pages. You are here to write a book that opens doors.

Doors to rooms you haven’t stepped into yet. Doors to conversations that change the trajectory of someone’s life. Doors that position you not just as someone with something to say, but as a leader people are ready to follow.

A movement book is never about the book alone. It’s about what becomes possible because you chose to write it.

The question is not “Can I write this?”
The question is “What doors am I here to open?”

She almost didn’t write the book.

Not because she didn’t have the story…
But because the doubts were louder.

“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t have the energy.”
“I’m not good enough.”

And yet—she wrote it anyway.

In three months.

What happened next wasn’t luck.
It was alignment.

A dream became a career.

If you want to be on top podcasts or speaking on bigger stages, most people think it’s about chasing the biggest audience.

But that’s not how it actually works.

Instead, think about the thought leaders, authors, and hosts who have genuinely impacted you. The ones whose work has truly moved you.

Get it out of your head and onto paper (or a spreadsheet).
Because there is power in that act alone.

When you do this, you create a kind of magnetism.

This is the Precessional Effect.

Not chasing. Not forcing.
But building real relationships, pouring into people, and allowing opportunities to emerge organically.

That’s how I ended up on Mike Michalowicz’s podcast.

His book Profit First had a profound impact on my business years ago—and through alignment, connection, and time, that opportunity came full circle.

Most of the time, by precessional effect, you’ll develop a relationship and be invited in…
Or you’ll reach a point where you’ve built enough genuine connection to ask.

So try this today:

Find one person who has a podcast, stage, or platform you’d love to be on.
Start pouring into them. Support them. Be generous.

And watch what happens.

That’s how you become the one in the interview chair.
