If you make social media content, do this NOW!
I uncovered something amusing: my old Minecraft videos from when I was in HIGH SCHOOL are still getting surfaced in search! 😆
But more importantly, I am learning more about how my social media profiles perform on search.
We now have the ability to track Google search clicks and impressions leading to our YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok channels.
A free and powerful way to learn more about how users are finding your content across multiple channels, in one place.
I’m surprised I don’t see more people talking about this. While not a game-changer in terms of analytics (you’ll only be seeing data from Google search, not your entire account performance), this is another great way to find content gaps and opportunities.
And I recommend setting this up ASAP, as we all know with Search Console, tracking only begins after the property is set up. Thankfully, it’s an extremely quick process. I’ve linked a guide in the comments if you’d like to learn more.
Organic search was always extremely competitive, but in the days of zero-click searches and AI overviews, finding new avenues to gain visibility is more important than ever.
Have you guys experimented with this new feature yet? What are your thoughts?
