It felt so good to be in a room where people recognized me and the work I’m doing, and were excited to connect and network. September 30th looks good on me 🎂

This birthday feels different. In the past few weeks, I’ve watched a dream become a real place with doors I can open and dancers filling the rooms. MSB Dance has a home. I’ve celebrated a grand opening, received honors I never imagined, and felt so much love from the people who have shown up for me along the way. I’m grateful for every person who helped build this, especially my family, my team, and the families who believed in MSB before there was a studio to call our own.

I’m proud of what it took to get here, and I’m even more excited about what’s ahead. Thank you, God, for another year of life, for the lessons, and for a vision that keeps growing. Happy birthday to me. 🥂✨

I’m still taking it all in. 💜 Thank you so much to Sista Afya for honoring me with the People’s Choice Award! Knowing that people chose to recognize the work I pour into MSB Dance and the girls we serve means more than I can put into words. Some days, you’re so busy showing up and doing the work that you wonder if anyone sees it. This award reminded me that they do, and I’m deeply grateful. Sista Afya Community Care

Dance and wellness go hand in hand. Through movement, our girls build strength and confidence, find joy, and learn to express themselves. I’m proud that MSB can be a space for all of that.

The evening was beautiful from start to finish. It was filled with wonderful people in an amazing space, and the DJ had the place rocking! Success Ju**ie Success Ju**ie was incredible as our MC. The health panel was so informative, and I truly appreciated the conversation. I also loved the flower bar. Getting to make our own bouquets and give ourselves flowers felt like such a fitting reminder that we all deserve them. 💐 Thank you, Camesha, for putting together such a thoughtful night.

To my mom and my best friend, thank you for being there to celebrate with me. Having you by my side made this moment even sweeter.
And to everyone who asked: yes, the dress was from Amazon! 😂💞💞

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this amazing honor. I’ll carry this feeling with me as I keep doing the work. 💜
