Seward Academy was awarded a Spring 2025 Creative Schools Fund grant administered by . This grant is dedicated to providing equitable access to high-quality arts education in , and we’re beyond excited to strengthen our partnership and help develop students’ sense of identity and creative confidence!

Join us for our Spring 2025 Dance Session, Saturday mornings from March 1st- April 12th!!

Our Spring 2025 Programs are focused on Jazz & Hip Hop dance styles with a foundation in ballet. Students will learn technique, history & choreography of these popular, high energy dance forms. The teen class will include Contemporary dance training as well.

The session will culminate in an in studio performance Sat April 12th.

Dancers! Registration is now open for our Winter After School session at Coonley Elementary! Save your place today!

The Coonley Winter Dance session runs from Wednesday Dec 4th-Wednesday Feb 19th from 3:45-4:45pm. K-1st and 2nd-5th grade dancers will learn Jazz Funk and Hip Hop dance with a foundation in ballet, taught by Ms Kristin. We are so grateful to expand our Partnership at this season working with the students in not 1 but 5 Dance classes! The incredible students at Mather are working with Elevate artists on Jazz, Jazz Funk, and Hip Hop Dance styles as well as Ballet foundations and stretch and strengthen.
We can’t wait to see all they achieve this season, save the date for their performance February 21st!

This past week we celebrated our 2 year anniversary and return to school for the Spring Semester!

In 2 years we’ve worked in 15 schools, and with over 650 students. We are so grateful for all who have entrusted their student’s dance education to us! And to our wonderful students and teaching artists who inspire us daily.

The reason for the season is GRATITUDE!! We are so grateful for the beautiful children we get to inspire each day, our school partners who allow us to do so, and of course the best teaching artists in the city who pour into these students day after day!!
We wish everyone a happy Holiday season and thank you to Howe, Piccolo, Tarkington, Zapata, Coonley, Jamieson, Mather, Peterson, Talcott and Beard schools for entrusting your students dance education to us this fall session!!

Wednesdays are always busy at Elevate and this week was no exception. While our incredible teaching artists dropped knowledge at 6 of our partner schools around the city, our leadership team attended the Fall Arts Summit, seeing old friends and developing new partnerships for the coming year. It’s going to be another great season of quality arts education !
