Last week, I taught 8 classes in 5 days, and it was truly the most rewarding experience! These are the experiences I taught!

1. Family Zumba Night in Summit, IL = SUCCESS 🙏🏾
2. Over 25 participants on $5 Friday Night Zumba 😭
3. Zumba for “ Behavioral Learning” learners & community in Oak Park = BEST CLASS ALL WEEK 🥹🫶🏽
4. Every single one of my 5 regular classes had new dancers! They were also filled with people I haven’t seen all summer 😩
5. Zumba Gold for my senior crew was so much fun, per usual 🧡

Thank you for choosing “ Zumba Is Life With Destiny”. I pour my heart and soul into this. My people have found me 🫶🏽🙏🏾. 8 classes in my 5 day work-week is a DREAM COME TRUE

“ I don’t like Zumba.” 😏👀

A recent conversation with one of my new dancers went like this..

“ Yeah, I’m here but I don’t really like Zumba. I’ve done it before. I’m here supporting my friend.”

“ Awesome, and I hear you! Well let me know after class what you think about the class?! I’d love the feedback! Have fun, ladies!”

After class:

“ Y’all looked like you were having fun! You were holding it down back here! So what’d you think? I know you said you don’t typically enjoy Zumba!“

“ It was good actually! I really liked the last song too. It was a really good stretch. I sit down all day, so this is actually good for me because I felt stiff! I’ll join next time!”

The beauty of Zumba is that there are so many unique instructors that can have THE experience for you! One Zumba class/instructor is not the same an another. I’ve been told this countless times. I have Zumba friends, and we are all different in the best ways! We are all unique, and this is actually really cool. You’ll find your people.

Not everyone is your cup of tea, and that’s totally okay. Try something more than once! Remember to try to stay open-minded. This lady may or may not join my classes again, but at least she tried again! I respect that. I hope she tries another instructor again , if I wasn’t what she was looking for too because I know I’m not everyone’s cup of tea! This is normal! 👏 🫶🏽

I always hear amazing testimonials from you all, and the only person that gets to hear how excited & humbled I am by your words - is my husband! 🤣 So I’m going to start blogging these! 👏

Today, one of them went something like this…

- I want you to know that you are doing something here. I’m sure as an instructor you probably wonder if you’re really impacting anyone or if people feel good about your class! I want you to know you impacted me greatly, and this is only my 3rd session. The doctors have given me praise reports, and it all started when I joined your classes. I’m going to stay because this is working. Thank you for all of this. Your community of people are super friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to other classes before, and people are snobby. This isn’t an issue here. Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.

Please keep sharing your personal experiences with me. You have no idea how much this truly pushes me to keep going- especially when I’m picking up more classes as my momentum builds up!
