Did you know that as of February of 2019, less than 20% of small business owners were using email marketing in their business? I was so surprised when I learned that, because not only is email marketing a SUPER cost-effective way to market your business, it is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to boost sales!
BUT ... it takes more than just sending the odd email here and there to your customers to "do" email marketing effectively. If you don't have a strategy around email marketing for your small business, you risk coming off as "spammy", or having your emails ignored or deleted.
I have seen first hand how effective email marketing can be, both in my clients' businesses, as well as my own. For example, we used email marketing combined with low-cost Facebook ads to increase our holiday sales revenues 1029% (!!) Year Over Year. And no, it didn't cost thousands of dollars or require hiring a marketing agency or expensive consultant.
One of my missions for 2020 is to focus more attention on helping small business owners leverage email marketing in their businesses to connect with their customers, share their stories, serve their customers better, AND make more sales and increase revenue in the process.
