The Midwest’s next big stage for youth competition is set! BELIEVE 13 takes over MSA Woodland on November 14th in Grand Rapids for an action-packed day of high level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition.

This event is dedicated to the future of the sport — KIDS & TEENS ONLY — giving young athletes the opportunity to test themselves, gain experience, and compete against some of the best rising talent in the Midwest.

In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, comfort is earned in the middle of chaos.
The highest levels of competition aren’t built by avoiding bad positions — they’re built by surviving them, learning from them, and refusing to panic inside them.

Anybody can feel confident when they’re winning exchanges, up on points, or controlling the pace. But real growth happens when you’re exhausted, stuck under pressure, fighting grips, defending submissions, and still choosing to stay composed.

Competition has a way of exposing every weakness and every emotion. That’s why the athletes who rise to the top are usually the ones who become comfortable being uncomfortable. They trust their training when things get hard. They embrace the grind, the pressure, and the moments most people want to escape from.

Growth in Jiu Jitsu lives outside your comfort zone.
