The Chicago Wrestling Club

The Chicago Wrestling Club A USA Wrestling chartered adult wrestling club The Chicago Wrestling Club is a chartered USA Wrestling wrestling club for adults. They are not formal classes.

We have a great core group, including coaches, former college and high school wrestlers as well as people from other martial arts like judo, jiu-jitsu and grappling who are looking to improve aspects of their sport. Our workouts are basically an open mat format. Most of our wrestlers are very experienced. Many grew up wrestling freestyle in eastern Europe. However, the atmosphere is very friendly

and everyone is happy to show moves and techniques when asked. Occasionally we get beginners who want to learn wrestling and they are welcome to join us as long as you understand that wrestling is an intense physical sport and you should be in decent shape before attempting it. Some of our members are still competing in veterans' (age group) or open events such as the US National Championships and the World Championships. We have numerous veterans national champions and veterans world medalists, including four world champions!
