Clipping with Claire!

Our barn manager Ms. Claire was busy preparing Picasso and several other horses last week for the Local Weekend horse show at the Upperville grounds this weekend.

Pro tip: We clip horses not only for show appearances, but clipping offers additional benefits. Clipping helps prevent overheating during winter work. It also gives caretakers closer access to the skin during grooming, which helps treat and prevent fungal infections such as rain rot. Clipping also assists horses with Cushing’s that cannot shed their own coats.

Join us each Sunday to discover what our cherished barn manager, Ms. Claire, will present.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of RU Princess, a beloved Meadowbrook school horse and teacher to all. She brought joy, comfort, and countless memories to students, staff, and everyone lucky enough to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her generous spirit and the love she shared will never be forgotten. We’d like to thank everyone that supported Princess and our staff during her journey. She will forever be in our hearts❤️
