Congratulations to my student Cody Welch on winning first place/gold medal in his division at the Grappling Industries tournament in Saratoga on May 27th!
I am also so happy to have surprised him by awarding him with his blue belt on the podium.
He worked very hard to sweep his division and look forward to seeing him compete in the future.
Great job Cody…so proud of you!

Congratulations to Joe DeZalia !!!
Joe has competed many times in the past under Adirondack Martial Arts Academy and has done well over the years, but this was his first time competing as a recent purple belt. People who know jiu jitsu are aware how technical the purple belt division can be. Joe did amazing by bringing home a silver medal in his division with two submissions!
Great job Joe…proud of you!

Joe has been my student since July 2017.
He always works hard and trains as much as possible with his busy schedule at work and family.
