Hittin Bombs for Moms!!! Three of our Sluggers smacked a bomb for their moms last weekend! Jeffrey Riley(11u), Anderson Prater(11u), and Mason Harlow(10u, back-to-back bombs!) all smashed one out of the park to show off for their moms! Great job boys!

Sluggers had themselves a weekend!!! Our 14u, 11u, and 9u all won the championships in their divisions! 3/4 divisions were won by a Sluggers team and they only lost 1 game all weekend combined! 14u had some lock down pitching on Sunday, only allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, striking out 11 and had a 73% strike percentage! 11u was crushing the ball with 8/11 players batting over .500 on the weekend and were led by Jeffrey Riley and Anderson Prater smacking some HRs!! 9u had 5 players batting over .500 and 3 over .700 on the weekend! They also had some great pitching, and this team is really coming together and getting better every game! Proud of all of our teams and can’t wait to keep seeing them improve and bring home some more banners!

Our 14u Sluggers traveled to Bradley, IL this weekend. After going 1-1 in pool play they ended up as the #8 seed in the Gold Bracket. After knocking off the #1 seed in Game 1, they fell to a tough Sparks team in the semi-finals. Proud of this group and how they continually challenge themselves against tougher competition!

On Sunday our 11u Sluggers made it to the championship for their 2nd tournament in a row! Since all pool play games were canceled all teams playing in LP played a blind draw bracket day. They drew the short end of the stick and had to play the extra game but didn’t let that slow them down! They won two games by mercy rule, and an exciting come from behind victory that went to extra innings. Unfortunately they fell short in a tightly contested 6-5 Championship Game loss but we couldn’t be more proud of their efforts! Great job boys!!

All Laporte games have been canceled today due to field conditions. 12u pool play in Lakeville is cut down to a single game at 3PM our time. After seeing the fields in LP I will say we appreciate our State Park Grounds Crew. They would have had those fields playable!

The Sluggers 10u team started their season where they left off and made another championship game appearance this weekend at 315 Sports Park. They went 1-1 in pool play, grabbing the #4 seed in the AA Gold Bracket. After taking out the #5 seed in their first game, they knocked off the #1 seed in Game 2 to advance to the Championship. After a rough 1st inning, Cooper Mundt came in for relief and pitched a beautiful game. The team never gave up and rallied back but ultimately fell 10-7 to a very solid Indiana Bulls team. For the tournament they were led by Gideon Mayfield, Hudson O’Connor, and Jordy Tibbs at the plate who all finished at the top in multiple categories. On the bump Gideon Mayfield, Lincoln Prow, and Connor Brinkmann all had quality starts and were supported by Mundt, Owen Gillhouse, and O’Connor with solid relief appearances. After injuries to two catchers, Tanner Boren was a brick wall behind the plate for the team. Gideon Mayfield received the GOAT chain for the tournament grabbing MVP honors for the weekend. This is a very special team who never gives up and has a very bright future ahead of them!
