Eclipse Performing Arts is in its 9th year of business under the direction of Michele’ Brown. We offer classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, acrobatics, and contemporary for dancers starting at 18 months. Eclipse Performing Arts dancers have been awarded and recognized on an International level by representing the United States in the International Ballet Competition, scoring top

placements in the Youth America Grand Prix, and bringing home national titles for five consecutive years. Eclipse dancer, Kennedy Brown, was recently featured on season 14 of So You Think You Can Dance on Team Jasmine. Our dancers have received scholarships from companies including Bolshoi Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Peridance NY, Complexions, Nashville Ballet, American Ballet Theater, STEPS on Broadway, and Broadway Dance Center in NYC. They have received scholarships to college dance programs including Mercy Hurst, Pointe Park, Ball State, and Pace University. We currently have 2 alumni on the Purdue Dance team. Alumni have also gone on to dance professionally in companies such as Nashville Ballet and for professional sports teams including the Indianapolis Pacers. Whether it is your dream to become a ‘professional dancer’ or to simply experience the joy of dance. Eclipse gives your star the chance to shine!

Eclipse Performing Arts Competitive Team had an exciting start at their very first competition, and we are so proud of all they accomplished. This group of 12 dancers included 10 who were completely new to the competition world, and they did a beautiful job.

They brought home several awards, including a scholarship, a special award, and a first-place finish, but what meant just as much was the way they cheered each other on, worked together, and carried themselves with such wonderful sportsmanship. Their teamwork and joy for dance were evident all weekend long.

A huge congratulations to Coach Amanda for inspiring and encouraging these girls, and for helping them see that so much is possible.

Congratulations to our very own Ramona Young on placing Top 12 in the Classical category at Youth America Grand Prix, one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world 🌍✨ She also received multiple offers to some of the best summer programs in the United States including Vaganova International Program.

Ramona has been dancing with Eclipse Performing Arts since she was just 3 years old, and watching her grow into the artist she is today has been nothing short of incredible. This moment is a true testament to her dedication, discipline, and love for the art of ballet.

For those who may not know, Youth America Grand Prix is the largest international student ballet competition, with thousands of dancers from over 30+ countries competing each season for top honors and scholarships to the world’s leading schools and companies. Placing in the Top 12 is an extraordinary achievement and places Ramona among the very best young dancers in the world.

At Eclipse Performing Arts, we are committed to providing the highest level of ballet training, because ballet is the foundation of all dance. We are proud to be building strong, technical, and artistic dancers right here in Northwest Indiana.

Ramona is a shining example of what that foundation can create.

Alumni Testimony: Olyvia Clark

Eclipse Performing Arts has truly shaped me into the dancer and person I am today. From my very first class, I was surrounded by teachers and teammates who believed in me, challenged me, and pushed me to grow—not just in my technique, but in my confidence. The training I received here has been nothing short of exceptional, and it has taught me discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work.

Thanks to this incredible foundation, I earned a place on the Indiana University RedStepper Dance Team collecting two National Championships in my past two years. Through countless hours in the studio, performances, and competitions, I’ve learned to believe in myself in every aspect of my life—not just on the dance floor. Eclipse gave me a safe space to step outside my comfort zone, discover my strengths, and embrace the joy of performing. I am endlessly thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given—the chance to learn from incredible instructors, to be part of such a supportive dance family, and to experience moments I will carry with me forever.
