Great Swim & Dive meets, Crocs! **Please** look through the items that were left behind at tonight’s meet vs Sunset Hills & lay claim to those that are yours so we don’t have to drag them around for months before finally donating them.

1-white bath towel with an entire outfit wrapped up inside, including size 4Y Nike tennis shoes
2-green & white striped beach towel
3-white (or light gray?) bath towel
4-watermelon beach towel
5-black folding chair in bag, Ozark Trail brand
6-blue folding chair with white piping in storage bag, brand: Greatland Outdoors
7-black skort, Ozone brand, size small 8-Blue Lizard sunscreen tube (which was lying between the chairs in our bullpen right beneath the black skort, so they likely have the same owner).

Also, the goggles left at last week’s Fun Swim never did find their rightful owner. Please take another look back at that post to see if they belong to your family.

Comment below and/or let any Parent Board member know if any of these items belong to you and we’ll arrange to reunite you with your things.

These goggles were left at our Fun Swim this week, on the evening of Tuesday, June 9. If they’re yours or you think you know who they belong to, please let us know so we can get them back to their swimmer!
UPDATE: these ended up not belonging to the first two people thinking they were theirs. They are still l👀king for their swimmer!

In loving memory of Coach Kirk who enthusiastically led our Crocs Swim Team for the 2018 season and through the end of June in 2019. He will not be forgotten by the families who were part of our team those years and anyone else whose lives he touched during his time on earth. His coaching skills and enthusiasm for our kids were remarkable. In lieu of cards or flowers, a donation to any kids’ swim organization in his memory would be appreciated.

Obituary:

Kirk Mottram passed away on January 10, 2026, in St. Louis, MO. He leaves a legacy of laughter and creativity that touched everyone who knew him.

Kirk graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a degree in political science and went on to build a career in politics, starting as a staffer in the Illinois statehouse and working on campaigns in Illinois and California.

Beyond his professional life, Kirk was a man of many passions. He loved films, screenwriting, and music. His success as a swimmer led him to find great fulfillment in coaching local swim teams, encouraging young athletes with his trademark humor and warmth.

Those who knew Kirk will remember his quick wit and his laugh that could fill any room. His spirit will live on in the lives he touched. He is survived by his mother, sister, and her family. Kirk’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The Chesterfield Crocs Swim Team is seeking a new swim coaching staff for Summer 2026. (Max will be returning to coach the Dive Team!) A new Head Coach as well as Assistant Coaches are all needed, so I hope you’ll help us spread the word. Let’s make 2026 our best season yet!

The details:
We’re seeking an experienced Head Coach who is ideally interested in coaching the Chesterfield Crocs long-term. This person should have experience with coaching and competitive swimming. They are responsible for leading the team in a positive direction, building relay teams, and creating an appropriate training plan for each age group. (Team age range is 5-18.) This person is also responsible for leading Assistant Coaches.

We are also looking for enthusiastic and responsible Assistant Coaches who are interested in growing with our team.

Note: This is a seasonal swim team so this is only a Summer position, but you can also work other positions at the Aquatic Center when you’re not coaching. Lifeguarding, management, concessions, etc.) We have morning and evening practices on weekdays only (typically 8-10am—with specific age groups designated to each hour—and 7:15-8:15pm for all ages, but the finalized schedule will be based on team size and age breakdown). All swim meets are on weekday evenings at 6pm. No weekends required except maybe some relay-team building for a Mon/Tues swim meet, but that can be done from anywhere.
