Our Story:
After being involved in fitness for nine years, I became increasingly frustrated at the poor standards in the industry. In my experience, working in both large and small facilities, I realized that all too often sales numbers were more important than member results. One day while sitting at one of these big box gyms, I asked myself if I would ever feel comfortable sending my mother (who

does not exercise) to workout without me. Why would I ever send her blindly into a gym without any real guidance and support, basically setting her up for failure? That was when I decided it was time to do something about it. I wanted to create an experience that put the focus back where it belongs- on the client. Two months later Blue Ocean Fitness was born. I didn’t have a business plan but I had a vision and I knew that if I had the best interest of the client at heart, everything would fall into place. To this day, our clients are still our top priority. We exist to change lives by helping people feel, move and look their best! Our Philosophy:
To us, fitness is more than countless hours on stationary machines. Our clients are busy individuals and have other obligations; therefore we focus on creating simple, efficient, science-based 30-50 minute programs specific to meet the needs of each individual. We want to get you up on your feet, moving in multiple directions, getting stronger in your core and improving your overall fitness in a sustainable manner. We created what we feel is a unique approach to fitness using our philosophy of exercising designed to help everyone feel, move and look his or her best. Our system is built with the time-crunched client in mind and consists of total body, non-competing circuits of strength and cardio exercises. Each exercise is designed to work multiple muscle groups simultaneously, resulting in a more bang for your buck workout that improves functional strength and creates a greater overall metabolic output, all while spending much less time working out.

It’s a bird; it’s a plane; it’s YOU improving your balance and stability! The SL hinge is excellent for building up strength in one leg while also helping your coordination, very important for all the super human activities you do on a daily basis ;)

Reverse Lunge with Overhead Reach
Hope you’re feeling coordinated to try this one out. Adding the overhead reach while lunging helps to stretch the muscles more intensely and aids in strengthening the lower body! Give it a go!
