YOUR BAR ISN’T CRASHING BECAUSE OF YOUR RACK.

It’s crashing because of your not meeting it.

Here’s what’s actually happening: you either (1) over-pull the bar way too high and then DROP from that height, letting it fall onto your shoulders, or (2) cut the pull short and dive under a bar that’s already falling, so it lands on you with everything it’s got.

Either way, you’re not meeting the bar. You’re letting it fall on you.

HOW TO FIX IT:

1. FINISH THE PULL, THEN PULL UNDER
Drive through the hips and the instant the bar is “weightless”, change direction. The pull doesn’t end at the top, it ends when you’re under it.

2. TURN OVER AGGRESSIVELY
Elbows whip around fast. You’re not catching the bar, you’re MEETING it. A passive catch is a crash waiting to happen.

3. MEET THE BAR WHERE IT IS
Don’t dive under and hope. Pull under and receive it at the top of its travel, chest up, lats engaged.

DRILLS THAT FIX IT:
- Tall cleans — teaches you to pull UNDER instead of dropping
- Muscle cleans — finish the pull, no crash possible
- Hang power clean + front squat — catch high, ride it down under control
- Clean high pulls — learn exactly how much height you need
