Need to spice up your workouts? I do!!
I came across a great article. It really resonated with me when it said “There’s a little running phenomenon I like to call “Single Speed Running,” where a runner logs nearly all of his or her miles at the exact same effort. Day after day. That speed is usually around 75 percent of max effort — not fast enough to really make your body work hard and adapt, but too fast to build much endurance or count as a “recovery” run.”
Lately, my runs have been 3 miles on the treadmill at about the same speed while my youngest naps and my 5 yr old plays in the room with me.
My goals? Move 3-5x per week. Try to stay healthy and not go crazy 🤪 with 2 little kids in the middle of winter during a pandemic.
Tomorrow I will be changing it up like I know I should. 😊

8 common running workouts for endurance runners, explained. Plus, examples on how to incorporate each workout into your training.

Study finds that many factors can increase the chance of women runners getting stress fractures.
Some of these include:
Poor nutrition 🍪🍩
No strength training 🏋️‍♀️
A tendency to push through pain
A tendency to increase mileage more rapidly
Irregular periods

A pair of new studies identify overlooked physiological factors and lack of knowledge around wellness as contributors to risk of stress fracture in women who run.

About six months ago, I posted the following Tweet, and the response got a bit “interesting.” Love when teams send minor leaguers home with body fat % targets for spring training……
