September is Healthy Aging Month, but healthy aging isn’t something we need to start thinking about at a certain age. The way we care for our bodies today can help us continue doing the things we love for years to come.
Yoga is uniquely suited to support us through every stage of life because it brings together so many of the things that become increasingly important as we age. A regular practice can help us maintain strength, balance, flexibility, mobility, and body awareness while also supporting stress management, rest, and overall well-being.
And unlike many forms of exercise, yoga can evolve with us. The practice you need at 25 may look very different from the practice that serves you at 65 or 85, and that’s what I love about it. Yoga isn’t about achieving a particular pose or performing at a certain level. It’s about continuing to move, breathe, adapt, and stay connected to your body.
The goal isn’t to move the way you did at 25. It’s to build a body and life that allow you to keep doing the things you love at 45, 65, 85, and beyond.
As we head into fall, I invite you to think about what you want more of in your days and what helps you feel grounded, energized, and well. Whatever that looks like for you, we’re here to support you along the way.
