If we're being honest, we don't care if you do CrossFit.

Do we believe that it can be for everyone? Yes.
Do we believe that it 𝘪𝘴 for everyone? No.

What we do care about though, is that you are 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

That you are lifting weights.
That you are getting your heart rate up.
That you are challenging yourself physically, consistently.
That you are moving.
That you don't give up.

At the end of the day, that is what matters.

When you stop moving, you accelerate the aging process.

Your body starts breaking down unused muscle.
Bone density decreases.
Metabolism begins to slow.
Chronic disease risk increases.

Do you 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 CrossFit to keep moving? No.

BUT, Three Ships Collective (CrossFit) will surround you with a group of like-minded individuals that won't let you go this journey alone. What are you doing today, to set yourself up for the week ahead?

You increase your odds of success when you have a plan.

Plan meals ahead to avoid the last minute take-out.
Make 1 mea ahead for the week (breakfast) so you start your day off on the right foot.
Add your gym sessions to your calendar like they're appointments you can't cancel.
Pre-pack your gym bag so you have no excuse not to go.
Spend 30 minutes stretching while you "netflix and chill" so you can feel better when you wake up tomorrow.

It starts with one thing. Be disciplined. Make it a habit. Then it becomes a lifestyle. 💪🏽

What motivates you?

Are you trying to get stronger?
Are you chasing a goal?
Do you love competition?
Did your doctor tell you to make a change?
Want to keep up with the kids?
Or maybe this is just your way to clear your mind after a stressful day?

We are all motivated by different things. And that may even change day to day.

What's cool about this community is that although our motivators may be different, we are still in this together.

What happens if you don't start?

Most people don't decide to 𝘕𝘖𝘛 take care of themselves.

They just wait.

They wait until life slows down.
They wait until work isn't so busy.
They wait until the kids get older.
They wait until they "feel more motivated".

But here is the hard truth.

𝗗𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

As we get older, we lose muscle, energy drops, joints get stiffer, everyday things start to feel... harder.

Not all at once. Not overnight.

But slowly enough that it's easy to ignore-- until one day it's not.

Good news?

You don't need to go 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯.
You don't need to be in shape first.
You don't need to know what you're doing.
You just need to start.

When we walk through the doors of the gym, it's easy to think we're all here for the same reasons- to get fitter, stronger, and healthier.

Although that may be true for some, for many it's more than a workout. It's their outlet.

This is where stress gets left on the floor.
Where frustration turns into effort.
Where anxiety gets replaced by focus.
Where the weight on our shoulders feels lighter when we walk out.

For one hour, we get to unplug from everything else and simply move.

That matters.

Remember, everyone is carrying something. You're not alone.

And that's what makes this community special.

We push each other.
We support each other.
We celebrate wins together.
And sometimes, without even realizing it, we help carry each other through hard times.

The first step is showing up. After that, effort is the only thing that matters.

Don't get us wrong. Showing up does matter, but at some point, just showing up won't move you forward anymore.

There's a difference between going through the motions and actually 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨.
There's a difference betweeen finishing a workout and 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.
There's a difference between lifting the weight you know you can and trying the one you're not sure about.

If we want to see progress, it won't come from just showing up, it has to come from 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Progress comes from choosing to move with purpose, listening to coaching, and leaning into the difficult parts instead of avoiding them.

Don't just show up, make it count.

No one cares if you can't lift the same weight as the people around you.
No one cares that you may have to modify or "scale" your workout to get it done.
No one cares that you might not be as strong as you were in your twenties.
No one cares that you might be slow.
No one cares that you take breaks.

What we do care about:

- Consistency
- Your effort- challenging yourself
- That you 𝘢𝘳𝘦 moving

Because what is the alternative? Not workout? Just not go because you're worried about what other people might think?

That my friends will impact your life now and in the years to come far more than you may think.

You may be thinking, "it's fine, I have time, I'm young". But don't make that mistake. You start to lose muscle at the age of 30!

The real question you should be asking yourself is this:
Do I want to live independently as I age? Or am I okay with someone else taking care of me?

Start moving now, before it's too late.
