Recently, our Executive Director, Kristin Carden, had the opportunity to spend time with one of her collegiate soccer coaches and one of the most influential figures in American soccer, Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak.
Tiffany is an Olympic Gold Medalist, FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion, current University of Central Florida (U.C.F.) Women’s Soccer Head Coach, and proud member of the legendary 1999 U.S. Women’s National Team—the iconic “99ers” who inspired generations of players across the country and throughout the world. Currently, Tiff serves as an assistant to Emma Hayes on the staff of the United States Women’s National Team which is now training in preparation for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
For Coach Kristin, this relationship has been pivotal in her professional development and extremely influential in her club leadership. Many of the developmental philosophies, player-centered coaching methods, and core values that shape the Chesapeake United player pathway today have been influenced by Tiff’s mentorship and example throughout the years.
Chesapeake United looks forward to hosting Tiff as a future guest speaker for Chesapeake United coaches, players, and parents to inspire, educate, and engage with the next generation.
