***To coin a much used golf phrase...We are going to take a " Mulligan" on opening the course this weekend.
After riding the course this morning there is still a significant amount of snow/ice throughout the course and on top of the greens covers.
***Course will be closed thru Sunday 1/26...*** Plan is to take greens covers off Monday morning 1/27. Tee times will start at 9:00 a.m. Monday 1/27.
Clubhouse and range will be open on Sat 1/25 at 9:00 a.m.

Covers will come off the greens Saturday morning 1/25. To allow maint staff time enough to remove covers...T-Times will start at 10:00 on Saturday 1/25.
The "Blitz" will start at 10:00 this Sat.
Someone will be in the pro-shop until noon today and tomorrow to book t-times. Course, range, clubhouse closed thru Friday.

Covers will come off the greens Friday morning 1/17. Someone will be in the pro-shop until noon 1/15 and 1/16 to answer phone for t-times.
Unless the weather forecast for next week improves, we will be covering the greens on Monday morning thru Wed or Thurs next week.

Battlefield Golf Club has had 2 golf carts stolen. 1 white in color and 1 tan in color.
Anyone with information regarding these 2 carts, please call the course at 757-409-1358.

Thursday morning, we will be covering the greens and getting the course ready for the approaching winter storm...Course/range/clubhouse will be closed starting Thursday morning until further notice pending how much snow and temperature.

*Change in plans*
The golf course will be closed today. With extreme winds, it is too dangerous for our maint. staff to handle the rain soaked greens covers.
Plan is to remove covers tomorrow morning...course will open at 9:00am tomorrow...we will communicate if that changes.

The clubhouse and range will be open until noon today
