Traumadler “Hawke” is an adult amateurs dream!

Hawke is a 16 year old, 16.2 Hanoverian/TB gelding. Super easy to handle on the ground and an overall joy to ride. He has been schooling 2nd level and showing 1st with the potential to move up. Scored in the high 60s at his first schooling show of the year yesterday (6/18/23). Hacks out alone or in a group. Self loads, stands on the trailer at shows or tied to it. Bathes, clips and ties.

He is UTD on vaccines and coggins.
Shod all the way around.
Minimal maintenance.

A little Rebel update:
When Rebel came back to me 2 weeks ago for training and to eventually list for sale. He had a poor attitude when it came to working. He would shut down and starting trying to turn around to bite my legs and would get to the point where he would just stop and start kicking out. Cantering him was even worse. He would pin his ears back, grind his teeth and canter up and down. Now he is happy to go to work. We have found his “go” in a much happier way. He has a bigger step, he’s soft through his body and he’s got forward, relaxed ears. Cantering has also improved a great amount. He moves out in his canter now and willingly picks up each lead without the fuss like before. Sometimes you have to take a step back and restart. I am not forcing anything with him. I want him to know that going forward is a “happy place”. Everything else will come with time.

So proud of my girls today! Both girls showed up and put in their best tests to date. Not only did they perform well but they stood quietly on the trailer all day while I volunteered.

Gray rode Intro C and Training Level 1 for the first time. For Intro C she got a 67% for 2nd place and for Training Level 1 she got a 65.9% for 2nd place.

Dee rode Intro B and Intro C. For Intro B she got a 68% for 2nd place and for Intro C she got a 67% for 1st place.

Gray and Dee both tied for Intro C down to our collective mark points which is where the judge broke the tie and based it off rider marks. These girls have come a very long way since April and continue to show us their potential.

She’s Dynamic “Dee” put her big girl pants on this weekend and went to her first bigger schooling show. We got a 65% for Intro B to finish 3rd and for our first attempt at Intro C we got a 62% to finish 4th. Our team finished 4th. Very nice and encouraging comments from the judge. With more miles this girl is going to kill it in any ring! As always, big thanks to Sandy for all her help with my crew and for running a great show!
