If you know me welll , then you know I don’t smile a-whole lot…..Maybe a smirk here in there. But this evening I’m a happy man. A bag of corn is around $16 for a 30 pound bag, these raccoons have been tearing me up and already have eaten two bags in three days. But this evening I had to even the score. First blood in the new Ford. I made Mr. Donald from Opelousas a happy man.

As Marines we always have a sense of humor when things are at there worst. For example, when we would take incoming over and over again on our position, we would look at reporters as the lay on the ground in fear and in our loudest yell possible scream , ”Hey, did you order a F** pizza”!!! Well we also make a joke and call the Purple Heart the “enemy marksman badge” because we “allowed” the enemy to hit us.
Never the less, it is my highest award out of all the medals on my chest, and my certificate is signed by the President of the United States, President Bush. Some gave, and some gave all, and made the ultimate sacrifice and breathed there last on the battlefield. I am blessed and thankful to still walk this earth, and make it though 5 combat tours. But more so,I am honored to have fought next to some of the bravest Men I know,that paid the ultimate sacrifice and fell next to me in combat. Like we sang over and over in the Marine Corps Hymn “If the Army and the Navy every looked on Heavens scene, they will find the gates are guards by United States Marines”

Burial will be in the Booneville Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robinson Family Mortuary
Mr. Walter Frank Dodson age 90 of Cheneyville Louisiana died at 12:45 a.m. on November 15th at Forest Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Jonesboro La

Personal Info: He had an infectious sense of humor and enjoyed being around and chatting with family and friends. He loved to hunt fish and be the CHEF at any crawfish boil for the family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
