Aces Goaltending Development is excited to welcome Kristian Stead as a guest goalie coach for our Spokane Summer Goalie Camp taking place July 23-26 at the EWU URC.

Kristian brings a strong background as both a goaltender and goalie coach. Originally from Merritt, British Columbia, Kristian played for the Nipawin Hawks of the SJHL, where he was named the league’s Goaltender of the Year and Most Valuable Player, and earned CJHL Top Goaltender honors as the best netminder in all of Canadian Junior A hockey.

From there, Kristian went on to play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Alaska Anchorage before turning pro. He has spent the past several seasons in the ECHL and SPHL. Kristian just finished his last professional season with the Evansville Thunderbolts of the SPHL.

Alongside his playing career, Kristian has coached goalies with Alaska Goaltending Academy working on-ice game preparation and individual skills instruction for goaltenders of all ages, and helping lead camps and off-ice dry-land training.

We are thrilled to be able to add another coach to our camp staff with the knowledge and understanding of the goaltending position Kristian brings.

Meet the team behind Aces Goaltending Development.

We’re Brody Aufderheide and Chandler Forsyth. We co-founded Aces with one shared goal:

To provide goalies with the type of coaching, feedback, and support that we believe every goalie deserves access to.

Everything we do is built around helping goalies improve their understanding of the position, develop good habits, build confidence, and continue growing both on and off the ice.

We’re excited about what we’re building and look forward to continuing our work with goalies, families, teams, and organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
