MOOR FOR THE ARTS

Boston Arts Festival
September 12–13

Build your Boston boating weekend around one of the waterfront’s best September traditions. 🎨⚓

The free Boston Arts Festival returns to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park on September 12 and 13 from 11 AM to 6 PM.

Spend the day discovering work from Boston-area artists, listening to live music, and enjoying one of the city’s most beautiful waterfront parks.

Boston Mooring Company guests can take the included launch service to the New England Aquarium and walk directly into the neighborhood.

Art, music, harbor views, and your own boat waiting offshore. That sounds like a very good September day in Boston.

Reserve your mooring at BostonMooringCompany.com.

The calendar says September, but Boston Harbor isn’t done with boating season yet. ⚓🌊

Some of the best weekends on the water happen right now. Cooler mornings, comfortable afternoons, and a little more room to enjoy the harbor.

Whether you’re heading out for a cruise, meeting friends by boat, or spending a slow afternoon at the marina, make this September weekend count.

Where is the harbor taking you?

Boston Weekend Tip: Explore the waterfront. 🌊

The Boston Harborwalk extends nearly 40 miles through the city’s waterfront neighborhoods. But nobody says you have to tackle it all at once.

Choose a section and make an afternoon of it:
⚓ Explore the historic wharves and restaurants around Downtown and the North End.
🏙️ Walk through Fort Point and the Seaport for skyline views, public art, food, and drinks.
⛵ Head toward Charlestown for the Navy Yard, USS Constitution, and a completely different view of the city.

It’s an easy way to experience Boston from the water’s edge. From Marina at Admiral’s Hill, it’s all just minutes away.

Which section would you explore first?

Complimentary launch service from Boston Water Taxi is included with both seasonal and transient mooring stays.

When you are ready to come ashore, arrange pickup or drop-off at Rowes Wharf or the New England Aquarium. Both locations put you steps from restaurants, historic wharves, the Harborwalk, and downtown Boston attractions.

To arrange service, call 617-406-8584 and select option 1.

Labor Day weekend is one more reason to stay close to Boston Harbor. ☀️⚓

Here are a few ways to make the most of September 4–7:

🌊 Start the morning on the water before the harbor gets busy, then head into the city for brunch or waterfront dining.

🐋 Book a whale watch or sightseeing cruise and let someone else take the helm for an afternoon.

🥁 On Sunday, September 6, take the ferry to Spectacle Island for Sunday Funday and Bomba by the Sea—a participatory celebration of Puerto Rican music, dance and storytelling.

🤍 On Monday, September 7, Tall Ship Boston hosts its Labor Day White Party on the East Boston waterfront.

🚶 Explore a new section of the Boston Harborwalk, grab dinner in the Seaport, North End or East Boston, and finish the day with a sunset view over the water.

Whether you spend the weekend cruising, exploring the waterfront or simply relaxing at the marina, don’t rush the unofficial end of summer. There is still plenty of boating season ahead.

There’s still plenty of boating season left, and Spectacle Island is a beautiful way to spend one of those remaining summer days. 🌊

Reserve a mooring through Dockwa, settle in with incredible Boston skyline views, and enjoy some time away from the mainland.

Planning to explore the island? Bring your own dinghy or inflatable. The Spectacle Island marina is currently closed, and private boats cannot use the dock for passenger drop-off or pickup.

A little planning goes a long way, and the view from the mooring is worth the trip.

Check current conditions and reserve your mooring through Dockwa before heading out.
