I am a coach who helps people find their best selves. I meant Liz 10 years ago when she came to swim with my master's group. In 2023, Liz was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, brain cancer. In 2025, Liz passed and now swims in the lakes of heaven, where the water is clear, warm, and weed-free, and the sunrises and sunsets are perfectly serene. (Thank you, Steve!)

I have heard that you live twice. The first time is the time you have on Earth, and the second is every time your name is spoken out loud after you have gone. It is for the second that I will swim this year.

Founded in 1987, Swim Across America has hosted charity swims with one goal: to raise money for innovative cancer research that would lead to breakthrough treatments and therapies. Since then, Swim Across America has raised over $100M to fund the next generation of pioneers in oncology and cancer-support care.

I joined Swim Across America because I believe in their mission and want to help give more families hope. If you are able, please support me by donating to help me reach my fundraising goal.

We have no regularly scheduled lessons this week, so the calendar is yours. You pick the days and times that work for your schedule to create a customized, fast-track program for your child.

Whether you want to sharpen skills or build water confidence, these intensives are the perfect "jump-start" into summer.
