REMINDER about the upcoming youth clinic this Sunday, September 13th:

The Chelmsford High School Girls' Varsity soccer team is running a clinic for players in Grades 2-8 on Sunday, September 13th from 9AM to 12PM at the Graniteville Fields (next to CHS).

This is always a fun time and a good opportunity for the younger players to learn from and play along with the High School Soccer players. This is open to both girls and boys in Grades 2 through 8. It is $35 a player.

We're hosting some coaches from abroad this fall and they're looking for a host family! Please see this message from Challenger Sports for more details.

Hello Chelmsford families,

We hope you are doing well and that you have had a lovely summer. We are looking for families to join our Host Family program this fall, as we have talented, experienced international coaches working with Chelmsford Youth Soccer who need housing. We are reaching out to see if you would be interested in becoming a Host Family from September 6th to November 1st, or for as long as you are available to host, be it one week or the entire season. We are currently looking for two host families from the Chelmsford community to host our wonderful coaches Pedro, 24, from Ecuador, and Declan, 19, from Wales. We can provide their
host family bio containing more information. Hosting is a truly enriching experience for everyone involved. Your family will have the opportunity to build international connections, see player development up close, and create a meaningful bond with one of our coaches. We’ve had wonderful experiences with coaches staying with host families over the years. To help with associated costs, we provide a $125 per week stipend per hosted coach, intended to help cover groceries and other expenses.

To host, families would need to provide:
- A comfortable place to sleep (ideally a proper bed and their own space where possible, we understand every home is different and can review this case by case)
- Access to the bathroom/shower
- Access to the kitchen and groceries so the coach can prepare their own meals if needed
- Laundry access (preferred)

Providing meals is appreciated, especially dinner, but cooking for the coach is not required. We understand that every family’s routine is different. Coaches are very independent and are happy to work with whatever meal arrangements you’re comfortable with. If you are interested, please reply to this email. FALL TRAVEL SOCCER FAMILIES:

If your player is new to CYSA travel soccer you will need to order a uniform kit from Center Sports. If you already have the uniform kit from the Spring then you are good. If you need any new pieces from the uniform kit, please go in during these fitting dates as well. If you do not get your uniform ordered prior to August 20th then you may not have your uniform on time for the first game(s). The cost of the kit is $85 and includes two jerseys, pair of shorts, and a pair of socks.

Teams are still being processed and will be posted in the coming weeks. You can still get your uniform prior to teams being posted. Any Gr 3-8 player who is currently registered will be assigned to a team and will require a uniform from Center Sports.

You will need to go to Center Sports for ordering and fitting. The fitting schedule starts on Tuesday July 21st and ends Thursday, August 20th. Note that Center Sports will be closed August 1st to August 10th for vacation. Jersey numbers are assigned by CYSA and Center Sports has this information.

Center Sports hours for fittings:
Tuesday through Friday: 10am-6pm
Saturday: 9am-2pm
Closed on Sundays and Mondays and during August 1st to August 10th.

Congratulations to the Boys Grade 3&4 B34-5 team for not only qualifying for the Commissioner’s Cup this weekend for postseason play but for being crowned Champions for their Division. Great job coaches and players!

Travel assessments occur ONCE PER YEAR.

Registering for the Fall Travel 2026 season automatically registers you for the assessments. If you are a Spring Only player, you don't need to register for Fall 2026 season but you should come to the assessments and let us know when you arrive.

It is STRONGLY advised that all players attend the assessments.

Players are assessed for the age group they will be playing in the 2026-2027 season -- NOT the season they are playing now.
