Luke Nowak was dominant on the bump, as they rang up 10 strikeouts in Cheektowaga Knights 14U's 4-2 victory over Evans Elite 14U on Sunday at Beverly Hills. Nowak allowed three hits and two runs over seven innings while walking five.

Evans Elite 14U were the first to get on the board in the first when Shane Steffan grounded out, scoring one run.

Cheektowaga Knights 14U took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Evans Elite 14U committed 2 errors, each scoring one run.

Levi Petty, Ashton Hudson, and Nowak each drove in one run for 24 Cheektowaga Knights 14U. Hudson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead 24 Cheektowaga Knights 14U in hits. Cheektowaga Knights 14U Hold Onto Victory over Lake Shore Whitecaps 14u

Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, the Cheektowaga Knights 14U still held off for a 6-5 victory on Sunday. Lake Shore Whitecaps 14u closed the gap by scoring on a single, a pop out, a single, and a ground out.

The Cheektowaga Knights 14U didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when Jayden Rogowski doubled, which led to the go ahead run hit in by lead off man, Trevor Ehrle.

The Cheektowaga Knights 14U were the first to get on the board in the first when Luke Nowak grounded out, scoring one run.

The Cheektowaga Knights 14U took the lead in the bottom of the second. Harrison Illig drew a walk, scoring one run, to give the Cheektowaga Knights 14U the upper hand, 2-1.

The Cheektowaga Knights 14U extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Luke Nowak, Ashton Hudson, and Chase Paluch.

Luke Nowak earned the win for the Cheektowaga Knights 14U. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and five runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

The Cheektowaga Knights 14U accumulated 10 hits in the game. Nowak provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Cheektowaga Knights 14U with two runs batted in.
