Hats off and THANK YOU to everyone who helped put on the 2026 Checotah Carnival and Hot Rod Weekend! It was an exciting weekend with a big turnout and we couldn’t have done it without you! There are 50+ people who volunteered their time and efforts to make sure everything was completed to make this weekend possible. Not to mention the huge effort put out by the City of Checotah for improving our parking area and working with us as we navigate the growing number of fans that is attending our street race and carnival.
We would like to say a special Thank You to Checotah Fire Chief Greg Carmack and the City of Checotah for working with us on safety and providing us with ambulances, fire trucks, volunteer firefighters and police officers.
We couldn’t have done this without D’s wrecker/Smith Diesel and all his people. They put in a lot of hours hauling and setting jersey barriers, providing the equipment to clean the road and closing the road so we can hold our race.
