Barrel Racing & Breakaway Incentive Fund Est. in 2001. Barrel racing and breakaway roping open incentive breeder's events. Schedule tba FEB 2022

Est in 2010 as an added benefit to our already established stallion program (HFBI) the BRIF offers OPEN incentive money to BtRIF futurity incentive money (with no additional entry fees) at barrel racing events. In 2022 there will be FOUR $5,000 BRIF 2D (full sec split) events along with FOUR $1250 BRIF Futurity sidepots 2D full sec split.

YOUR BRIF RUN in barrels is based off of your FIRST run on your BRIF horse. It will NOT count unless you complete the form!

BREAKAWAY BRIF - must also complete the breakaway BRIF form before you compete. We will use your BEST time on that horse for BRIF time.

Must enter at least one run in OPEN jackpot by Wed May 20 (no entries taken after this time) declare your BRIF horse BEFORE you run at the show office on site.

$5000 BREAKAWAY
Must enter 3D Breakaway at least 1x. Entries open May 20-May 31 on sgp. (opens 12 noon) declare your BRIF horse BEFORE you ROPE at the show office on site.

Rider must pre-enter barrel racing (open jackpot) by May 17 for your BRIF horse to be eligible for the $5000 Bonus. (BRIF horses not yet nominate may also pay in at the show office). BRIF contestants will fill out a form at show office and STAFF will ADD your entry to your open run. (MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE RUN IN THE OPEN JACKPOT - BRIF BONUS CANNOT BE ADDED TO THE BONUS RACE)

When do we enter the BRWF?
*Barrel Racing PHASE 2 May 8-May 10 (if you have a Bonus Qualifier)
*Barrel Racing PHASE 3 May 11-May 17 (open to the world) ANYONE can enter the open jackpot during this phase

Breakaway Roping 3D
Thurs pm, Fri am, Fri pm, Sat am, Sat pm
BRIF horses must be corrected named in SGP and ROPER must declare entries at show office (in conference center) at least one hour before roping! We will use your BEST time on your BRIF horse. A horse can only place 1x. Paying 8 BEST times (no divisions).

We can accept stallion nominations through MAY 30, 2026.
