You are the best kept secret in your industry.
And I do not mean that as a compliment.

Because the people who need you cannot hire you, learn from you, trust you, refer you, or even find you if your best thinking stays locked in your head.

You know the thing.

The thing that helps them stop spinning.
The thing that helps them make the next move safely.
The thing that gets them from where they are now to where they actually want to be.

But when it is time to say it out loud, you soften it.

You make it more polished.
More acceptable.
More “professional.”
More invisible.

That is what's costing you.

Your people do not need you to hone and refine your message so that it is perfect? Forget perfect and choose PROLIFIC instead.

So if you have opinions, takes, frameworks, stories, or lessons sitting in your notes app because you are waiting until they sound better, stop hiding behind the edit.

Say the true thing.

Let it be useful before it is perfect.

If you are an invisible expert right now, follow along and share this with someone who needs to hear it.

I post these daily to help you get your gifts out into the world, then get out of the way.

Your content effectively becomes xanax the moment it becomes only “business you.”

Yesterday I was in a room with tech leaders who are trying to become more known and more visible. All badasses. All incredibly accomplished. And all are committed to becoming prolific over the summer.

Some externally online and others internally inside their orgs, and the big question was:

How do you post consistently without sounding like everyone else throwing the same thoughts through the same LLM process? (AI Slop Basically)

My answer was a simple Venn diagram.

On one side: commercial you.
Deadlines. Sales. Strategy. Tactics. Delivery. Value. The grown-up stuff.

On the other side: artist you.
The ballet dancer. The Tolkien nerd. The motorcycle-and-metal fiend. The theater lover.

Too far into commercial and your content becomes gray and soulless. Think Office Space.

Too far into the artist, and people can’t peg what you do, so you become the starving artist.

The sweet spot is the middle.

That’s where the chief of staff talks about turning chaos into calm, as the former ballet instructor who now choreographs grown-ass adults.

It's a way to make your weird little obsessions make the professional point land harder.

AI can draft your words.

But if it shaves off what makes you YOU, you’ve joined the noise.

I unpack it in the video.

If you want to take what's inside of you and explode your brand in the next 90 days, comment BALLET, and I will show you how my clients go from Invisible Expert to Unmissable Presence in their fields.

Brené Brown was terrified of her own message.

Before the books.
Before the big articles.
Before the world knew her name.

She was a researcher, educator, PhD, with a small dedicated following doing the work.

The message was clear:

Vulnerability equals courage.
Vulnerability equals strength.
It does not equal weakness.

Then a local TEDx organizer said, “You need to put this on stage.”

Beautiful irony, right?

She had the research.
She knew the data.
She had the answer sitting right in front of her.

Still terrified.

What if I fail?
What if it sucks?
What if people make fun of how I look?
What if they hate my clothes?

All the stories showed up.

But her mission was bigger than the fear, so she stepped on stage anyway.

That talk became one of the most legendary TED talks in history.

And let’s be honest, her research and message have probably impacted tens of millions of people.

So here’s the question for you.

What are you sitting on because you’re afraid someone might not like it?

Your hard-earned lessons.
Your scars.
Your wins.
Your failures.
The stuff you’ve actually lived.

Someone out there needs it.

And every day you keep it invisible, they stay hungry.

There’s no use being an invisible expert.

So quit being stingy.

In the next 24 hours, say something.

Post something.
Turn on the camera.
Write the messy first thought.
Do not outsource your brilliance to Claude.

You will not die.

I failed on Ninja Warrior in front of millions of people in 2.25 seconds, and I’m still here.

Plus, you probably won’t be wearing a speedo.

So there’s that.

If you’re in for the 24-hour challenge, share this with the person you want as your accountability buddy and write “I’m in.”

Get what’s in you out of you.

Your fifth AI draft is probably the worst one.
Not because Claude is bad. Because by draft five, it removed YOU from the message.

You put your hard-earned brilliance in there. Ask it to make it cleaner. Then cleaner again.

Congrats. You sound like everyone else on the internet now.

The internet doesn't need more polished content.

It needs the hard, rough, edgy opinion your audience actually needs.

Ten years ago, I was on day 60 of a 100-video challenge.

11:58pm. No gear. Sitting in my car. Hated the video.

Posted it anyway at 11:59pm.

It got 20 views.

One of those 20 was Mariah, who became one of my best clients and closest friends.

The post I thought would suck was the one that broke through.

Your people don't need perfect lighting, a teleprompter, or draft number six.

They need the MESSAGE.

Quit outsourcing your brilliance.

Post the dang thing unfiltered.

If you're a leader with something inside you that needs to come out, follow along. I'm posting daily to help you get your gifts out there and get out of the way.

Modesty is a trap.

Someone compliments your work and you hand it straight back.

“It wasn’t me.”
“It was the team.”
“I got lucky.”

You think you’re being likeable.

But they hear you devaluing your own contribution.

Try humility instead.

“Thank you. We worked hard on that.”

“Thank you. I had to overcome a few things to make it happen.”

“Thank you. It’s what I do.”

That’s not arrogance.

That’s ownership.

Don’t minimise yourself to be liked.

Stand in your work with humility and let people respect you for it.

If this hit, follow along. I post daily on leadership, coaching, and getting your message out into the world.
