We want to take the time to share Donna's story:
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Looking back, I had been experiencing symptoms for several years, but my physician never gave up on finding answers. She worked tirelessly, referring me to every specialist who might be able to help. Today, I am under the care of a specialized Multiple Sclerosis team in St. Louis. While my doctors do everything they can to manage my condition, I also have an important role to play in maintaining my health.
That is one of the reasons Powerworks has become such an essential part of my life. Regular exercise is not just recommended for me; it is a necessity. Staying active helps reduce muscle loss, improves my balance, and allows me to maintain my independence and quality of life. Every workout is an investment in my future.
I am also a wife, a mom, and a grandmother. Staying as healthy and strong as possible is one of my highest priorities, not only for myself but for my family. They are my greatest motivation, and I want to continue making memories with them for many years to come.
Powerworks has been much more than a gym to me. It has been a place of encouragement, consistency, and hope. I am incredibly grateful for the role it has played, and continues to play, in helping me live my best life despite the challenges of Multiple Sclerosis. At the start of 2027, I will be having a CAR T-cell therapy procedure and will have to take time away from the gym.
