After 2 days we are walking away from the 4A IESA track meet with a combined total medal count of 15! That is 15 events we placed top 8 in the state!

A new school record in the 7th grade boys 4x200.

The 7th grade boys finised 7th overall with 22.5 points

The 8th grade boys tied for 12th place with 13 points.

We are so proud of the hard work from our athletes and impressed by those who supported the team throughout the two days.

Rest up and we hope see many of you in the cross country season.

Just a reminder that when we run outside runners will need to dress for the weather. While a coat might end up being too much once we start moving, shorts and a tee shirt probably will not be enough. It is easy to get hurt if you let your muscles get too cold. Layers are the best way to go with the weather in Illinois. The temps can easily fluctuate 20°‐ 30° from the start of school to practice.

The Importance of Not Getting Too Cold During Winter Runs

Letting your body get too cold may increase injury risk and reduce performance, in addition to being way less cozy.
