Welcome to the Staff, Coaches Sorem & Nesdill!

The Chaska Boys Hockey Program is proud to announce the addition of Assistant Coaches Jeff Sorem and Mike Nesdill.

Jeff Sorem played at Edina Hornet Athletics boys hockey, collegiate hockey for the Yale Mens Ice Hockey Bulldogs, and professionally—bringing a championship mindset and a proven track record of developing high-level talent.

Mike Nesdill brings elite playing experience, as a player on the USA Hockey's NTDP US National U18 team, then in the United States Hockey League, collegiately for the Bowling Green State University Falcons men’s ice hockey, and the professional ranks. Most recently, Coach Nesdill has been coaching within the Chaska Chanhassen Hockey Association (CCHA) at the sq**rt level—building and developing young players at the grassroots level.

Together, they add experience, credibility, and leadership that will elevate our program on and off the ice.

The standard is rising. 📈 🏒

We’re excited to welcome David ‘Dave’ Shute as the new Head Coach of Chaska Boys Hockey.

Coach Shute’s background as a competitive player and experienced coach brings a strong foundation to our program. He has worked with athletes across multiple levels, focusing on skill development, hockey IQ, and building confident, accountable players. His approach emphasizes both performance and character.

We’re excited for what’s ahead for our players and community.

Rising 8th & 9th Graders and HS athletes interested in playing for (now or in the future) should register!
