Strong spines. Strong movement. 💪
These two gentlemen are showing beautiful C-curves—deeply rounding through the spine with control, precision, and length.
In Pilates, the C-curve isn’t about simply “rounding over.” It comes from a maximum contraction of the abdominals, drawing deeply into the powerhouse. That strong abdominal contraction supports the spine and helps create the maximum stretch and length through the entire back.
It’s a beautiful example of the Pilates principle of oppositional movement: deep contraction in the front body creating greater length and stretch through the back body.
Precision, control, strength—and two pretty perfect C-curves! 👏
