☀️⚽️ Just like that… summer is coming to an end.

As many students head back to school this week, we want to thank every family that made our GoalDen Summer Series such an incredible success. Edition 4 was the perfect way to wrap up a summer full of learning, competition, friendships, and plenty of smiles.

One thing we hope every player takes into their club season is the importance of individual development. Team training is essential, but the players who continue to improve are the ones who invest in themselves outside of team practices. Whether that’s at home or at The GoalDen, those extra touches, repetitions, and small group training sessions make all the difference.

Our 2026–2027 School Year Camps & Clinics will be announced soon, featuring one-day clinics, Fall Break Camp, teacher workday clinics, and more. If this summer was any indication, these are going to be another hit 🎯(in the top corner).

Testing will include key performance metrics such as speed, agility, quickness, and explosiveness—giving players objective data to measure their progress over time.

Our Edition 4 Summer Camp kicked off with a special visit from former USMNT, MLS, and Liga MX defender Omar Gonzalez, who is now in his 18th professional season and currently serves as a player/coach with the Chicago Fire.

This week, Omar and are also participating in an MLS professional development program designed to help MLS greats enhance their leadership, expand their network, and prepare for careers beyond the field.

What an incredible experience for our campers to learn from someone who has competed at the highest levels of the game.

As players head back to training, remember that development is a marathon, not a sprint.

Here are 6 tips to help start your season the right way:
✅ Focus on your growth.
✅ Master the basics.
✅ Make mistakes with confidence.
✅ Control what you can control.
✅ Be the best teammate.
✅ Most importantly… HAVE FUN.

Somewhere along the way, youth sports became about rankings, trophies, social media clips, and chasing the next opportunity.

But we can’t forget why most kids fell in love with the game in the first place…

It was supposed to be fun.

One of our parents recently said:

“This is my kid’s favorite training.”

That means more to us than any metric or milestone.

Yes, we want players to improve. Yes, we want them to reach their goals. But if they leave every session smiling, excited to come back, and falling more in love with the game, then we’re doing something right.
