GO SHOW SUPPORT!!! So proud of everything he does every weekend.
I've been a bit behind on race updates lately with a lot of different things going on behind the scenes.
We've been struggling with a poor hot weather setup the past 2 weeks. We went back to the drawing board and arrived with a brand new, ground up setup on the car.
Race 1, we started 13th. We were able to gain a few spots to finish 10th.
We made another setup adjustment, and got lucky once again on the invert.
Starting p1 for race 2. We got lucky with a few early yellows, and hung on to the lead through lap 5. Unfortunately, we're still fighting getting the car to turn in, and pushed up from the bottom, leaving the hole open and losing the lead. Fighting on the outside, the driver overdrove the entry, and nearly lost the car into turn 1.
We gathered back up, and while attempting a pass out of 2, a check up resulted in a bent right front upper control arm. We slugged along for a 7th place finish.
Im not sure if we would have chased the top 5 back down if I would have been able to keep the car straight, but luckily we were still able to finish.
The thrown together setup did surprisingly well, and with a few more tweaks, we are once again, headed in the right direction. The car hasn't felt this stable in a long time.
Thank you to all the fans and competators that stopped by, and to everyone who has purchased a t-shirt these last 2 weeks.
We still have shirts on hand, as well as additional merch online at bernysracing.com
Please support our partners, as we wouldn't be on track without them.
