Traveled down to Albemarle this weekend for the 3rd Annual Community Grill Master Showdown.

We have been fortunate enough to compete here every year. It’s a great community wide event.

We were blessed to hear our name called for
1st place chicken
3rd place rib
3rd place pork

We could not have done the event without the help of our family yesterday! We appreciate all your love and support.

We will take a few weeks off and our next competition will be South Carolina Festival of Discovery in Greenwood.

Back home from Darlington Raceway Speed & Feed BBQ Festival.

Had a great time at this contest and enjoyed having family come and spend the day with us.

Was happy with the boxes we closed and the judges agreed. We were blessed to hear our name called for

6th Place Springer Mountain Farms chicken
10th Place Prairie Fresh Ribs
10th Place Prairie Fresh Pork
5th Place Snake River Farms Brisket

Taking home 4th overall in a powerhouse field.

Back home from Bear-B-Q. This was a first year contest and our first time in New Bern. We almost didn’t make this contest (iykyk) but Praise the Lord we did!

The weather might have not been ideal but that’s bbq. We were blessed to hear our name called for

Back home and praising The Lord safely from Sip & Swine BBQ Festival.

This was our first time competing at this Georgia contest. Tiff was super excited as we rolled in to the competition site and Chick-fil-A was across the street

We had a decent cook and shut the lids on some food we were proud of and would turn in again- unfortunately we were oh so close to some Top 10s but didn’t get to hear our name called this time. We did get to cheer on our bbq friends on their calls.

Congrats to Electro-Que-ted on Grand and Mcadoo Heights BBQ on Reserve.

We did however get some excitement on our journey home. About 30 minutes into our route home we had a trailer tire blow out on 85. We thankfully were a mile away from an exit, was able to make it off, get to a parking lot and get it changed.

As if the nerves weren’t jacked enough after that, about 2 exits away from the house -yep -another trailer tire blow out. Thankfully this was on the passenger side keeping us a bit safer on the interstate. Made it to the shoulder, had my last spare and got it changed.

We will take a few weeks off, and get ready for our next contest in May.
