We are a licensee of the largest swing-only dance instruction and promotion company in America, Gottaswing.com, with over 4,000 students annually. No previous dance experience is required, and we actively welcome all ages at all of our events. Not

just one single dance, the term "swing dancing" refers to a family of dances that evolved from 1920's Charleston into the Lindy Hop - also known as Jitterbug. We teach the original steps and styles from the Swing Era that we have learned directly from original masters like Frank Manning and Jean Veloz. We teach social swing dancing that is easy to use in real-life situations. We do not separate our students into different levels (e.g., bronze, silver, gold, etc.); nor do we offer an advanced level. Our philosophy is that swing dancing should be FUN, and our goal is to make sure that everyone gets on the dance floor and has a good time. A stress-free environment where everyone is welcome and has fun. If you're looking for a great way to get some exercise while meeting new people, look no further. April Classes Start Tuesday night. We have 2 great series for dancers who have taken a class or two and want to spice up their dancing. One of our most requested classes, Solo Jazz, will be offered at 7pm, and Don will also teach a class on Musicality at 8:15. No partner required, but students must already have a basic understanding of 6 or 8 count swing, since no basic steps will be taught.

Our friends The Jive Aces are performing in Charlotte this Tuesday at Middle C Jazz Club uptown.

Renowned worldwide for their high-energy spectacular showmanship, their viral video “Bring Me Sunshine”, and for being the first live band to reach the final rounds of Britain’s Got Talent, the Jive Aces have firmly established themselves the UK’s No. 1 Jive & Swing band. The in-demand sextet averages 300 shows a year and have worked with Van Morrison, Keely Smith and performed for Her Majesty the Queen.

They headlined and sold-out the Royal Albert Hall and thousands of festivals, theatres, dance halls, etc, in 35 countries, including Buckingham Palace for the Coronation Festival, Trafalgar Square for the Olympics and major theatre tours in the USA.Their performance at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival was listed by the Daily Telegraph as one of the festival’s highlights.

We have Introduction to Lindy Hop at 7pm and Intermediate Lindy Hop at 8:15. Both classes will be taught by Trisha and Allison Hannah.
