When we want to absolutely burnout on Leg Day at the end of a session, this is the combo we reach for.

Here's why it works:
The split squat pre-fatigues one side at a time β€” your glutes are firing through every inch of the descent and drive.
Then we go straight into the RDL β€” same leg, no rest. Now your glutes and hamstrings are loaded through the hinge while they're already gassed.

By the time you switch sides, your working leg is done. That's the point.

Coaching cues we're watching for:
βœ… Front knee tracks the toe on the split squat
βœ… Hips lead the RDL β€” chest stays tall
βœ… Hard glute squeeze at the top of every rep
βœ… Don't rush the transition β€” control the burn

Run it for 3 rounds of 12 split squats + 12 RDLs per side. Your glutes will tell you we weren't playing.

PULL-THROUGHS: THE GLUTE EXERCISE WE PROGRAM ON PURPOSE

When you see pull-throughs on the board at BBT, it's not filler. We put them there for a reason.

Here's what we're training when you do them:
βœ… Glutes and hamstrings under tension through a full range of motion
βœ… A real hip hinge β€” the foundation of nearly every lift we coach
βœ… Posterior chain power that shows up in your squats, deadlifts, sprints, and jumps

The biggest mistake we correct on this movement? Pulling with the arms.
