When I started implementing time-blocking into my schedule, it CHANGED the game.
I no longer felt foggy and frazzled and was able to be a lot more productive. I went from not being able to sleep at night running through my task list, to waking up ready to start the day.
What is Time Blocking?
Time Blocking is the act of setting your daily schedule up in blocks, or chunks, of time so that you know exactly what you need to get done that day.
Why does it work? 🧠
Our brains can only make so many decisions a day without turning to mush. Being intentional about how you work during the day allows you feel more clear-minded, creative, and calm.
How do I do it?
1️⃣ Decide what needs to get done every single day. Block that time first. (For instance, I block time to read my emails + for morning movement)
2️⃣ Decide what needs to get done that week, ahead of time if possible. Schedule time on your calendar to do those things. Decide which day and how much time it will take to accomplish.
3️⃣ BE FLEXIBLE. Don't beat yourself up if something happens and you didn't accomplish what you needed to.
Have you ever implemented time blocking in your schedule? How did it work?
