AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) are important because they can save someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.
They:
* Check the heart’s rhythm automatically.
* Deliver a shock when needed to help restore a normal rhythm.
* Give clear voice and visual instructions, so even someone without medical training can use one.
* Work alongside CPR to keep blood and oxygen flowing until emergency responders arrive.
