Thank you PVDA for a well run show. We were very fortunate in the weather for our first outing of the season.

Super proud of all my students as the first show can be a little nerve wracking as we shake off the cobwebs.

Kelly and Fern in their second season did a wonderful job moving up to First level. What a joy to see the consistency, fluidity and elasticity in 3 confident test, with confirmation of the fundamentals at this level. Congrats to placing first in the money class and having to 2nd places.

Erin was very fortunate to take Beamer out in both of their first showing at Third level. It was lovely to watch her build the momentum and create a smooth, confident ride earning them a first place 🥇 in a big class. Erin also got her first score towards her bronze medal at third level. Woohoo 🥳 Second test of the day Beamer was a little tired but Erin felt the connection with him and came out feeling very good. Though they had a tougher judge for that test it took nothing away and still came away with a third place.

After a huge hiatus of 9 years away from the show ring Amanda arrived with focus and calm determination. She had to navigate a very herd bound horse and she was able to diffuse the tension and put in two very solid training level test winning one class and coming in second for the other. Thank you Theresa for giving your daughter the opportunity to ride Herc.

Kudos to Theresa for getting her young boy out to the show grounds for his first outing. Rip was stellar, what a super mind and confident horse. Looking forward to their future journey together.

As always it fantastic having a group to hang with Betsy Hunter Betsy Guyther Fritz Kelly Rose Erin Louise Tina Gill Gormley Stephanie McNutt Theresa Keyes Cate Fiolka Amanda Turner Jennifer Lamb Judith H Whyte

Owner is motivated.

Beamer is a handsome foundation style Holsteiner with the most lovely cadence. He is ready to do 3rd level with his next partner and help you achieve your goals of a bronze medal. (He will be debuting 3rd level May 13th at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA). In 2022, in a super competitive Region 1 Adult Amateur 2nd level championship Beamer shined with a top 8 finish and an invitation to compete at Nationals. In the same year he also helped his 60+ year old owner achieve her USDF Master’s Challenge Award at First level.

Beamer is only being offered for sale because his current owner is 5’4 and 66 years old and wants something a little smaller. This was a very tough decision to sell him as he has been a wonderful boy for her. A good home is a top priority.

Beamer is barefoot, self-loads, clips, stands for the farrier and vet, and travels well. He is wonderful hacking out either with buddies or by himself.

Second outing at PVDA’s spring show at Morven Park this past weekend. Chance of rain and storms everyday but the weather cooperated and was pleasant for riding.

Kelly Rose’s little Fern just keeps on impressing everyone with her mind, ridablity, and the growth in her fundamentals. I was pleased with how Kelly developed Fern’s top line and length of stride, it got better every test and finished with a 74% at training level 1 and High Score Reserve Champion of her level. 🥳

Jennifer Lamb had a good weekend. Joy can get a bit tense at shows (and is never tense at home) and Jenn stepped up and used her tools to give her mare more confidence. The partnership at Second level is starting to blossom. Really nice test but the highlight was Second level Reserve Champion with a 67.7%. 🎉

This is Betsy Guyther Fritz first year venturing up to Second Level with her boy Beamer (his first year at this level too). This is a big step up in dressage for everyone and Betsy has been working hard and putting the time in and gaining experience and a new understanding every outing. Finishing out First 3 to get her last qualify score led her to get a massive score of 70% and High Score Champion of first level. 🥳

Betsy has been very generous and has shared her lovely horse Beamer with Erin Louise. Erin has been doing a wonderful job with him. Erin also stepped up to Second level and jumped straight into the deep end at second level test 3. They had a lovely harmonious test and got their first qualify score towards regionals with a 62.3% and 2nd place. 🙌

Super proud trainer here! As always thanks to Tina Gill Gormley for always lending a helping hand to everyone and Stephanie McNutt for being in everyone’s corner.
