Lake Charlevoix finally completely froze over a few days ago. Boyne City has 5 inches of ice. Iceboating season has begun!
Nice sunny days help to remind us that summer is on the way.
The Groundhog says otherwise but I don't put much faith in his ability to predict the future! Maybe the Badger was more reliable?...check the history...

Still no ice at the Marina! The Marina froze over a few times but it didn't last. The south arm of Lake Charlevoix is froze over to Ironton.
Days are getting longer and summer is getting closer..._/)
We had a goose with a broken wing hanging around the Marina. We call him Fred. We fed him a few times. Called a bird rehab to see if they could help him but we haven't heard back yet. Didn't see him there today. He may have found someone with better food!

All the boats are gone. The wave attenuators are tucked inside and the deicers are in. Ready for Winter. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.

We have been taking advantage of the slower season to work on a few much needed updates! The tile, grout, carpet and all the painted surfaces are complete. Also, our bathroom/ laundry area are being cleaned and sanitized daily!

We had a few Seasonal Slip Reservations cancel last week due to travel restrictions or broken boats. I have 2 40’ and 1 30’ available for the season! Please share or give us a call to reserve!

Everyone is very excited to go boating! We are prepared and staffed to start working TOMORROW to open the harbor. Currently, there are multiple hazards keeping boats from safely entering the marina. I will keep everyone posted and I hope to allow boats by the first part of next week. Thank you for remaining flexible and I look forward to seeing a full marina very soon.
