The wobble you see here is a red flag for future injury.
Last night’s session with SP highlighted exactly why performance training differs from showing up to the field with a bag of balls.
We started with a full check-in: how her body felt, energy levels, and a recap of the previous week. Then we broke down 30 minutes of game footage — what worked, what needed fixing, opponent tendencies, and how to be more effective against the upcoming schedule.
During the change-of-direction warmup, we corrected movement mechanics in real time:
• Drive the upper body with the step
• Absorb force through a strong, bent leg
• Maintain full foot-ground contact
The visible wobble in her cut is loss of control under load. That instability is a direct predictor of non-contact injury. We fixed it on the spot — because performance and injury prevention are one and the same.
Safe movement isn’t optional. It’s what separates players who last from those who don’t.
…then we worked with a ball.
